ABOUT US

Welcome to Paarl Cricket Club NPO website. We are a community-oriented club located in the Drakenstein area of Cape Winelands. Parys Cricket Ground Oval, our home ground, is a picturesque oval in the heart of Paarl. We are affiliated with Boland Cricket NPC having 3 senior teams. With our new nets, hard wickets and clubroom facilities, we are a club looking to the future.

Successful Clubs are measured in many ways.

Our great club has had enormous success in recent years and whilst we take pride in being the best club we can possibly be, the success of our club stems from the way that boys, girls, men and women all feel comfortable in being attached to our club and watching their children, friends and fellow players enjoy a game of cricket in a supportive environment.

History

The Paarl Cricket Club was established on 29 July 1991 after the amalgamation of the Paarl Cricket Club (Western Province Cricket Union) and the Paarl Cricket Club (Western Province Cricket Board). This amalgamation occurred in an attempt to place all cricket in Paarl, under one umbrella. The official headquarters of the club is at the Parys Sports Grounds, Market Street, Paarl. The club has 4 teams that participate in the Boland Cricket Union’s leagues.
